Revolutionary, Founding Father and First President Now on Display
Our recently completed projects include the new Museum at Mount
Vernon Estate and Gardens in Virginia. The exhibit designer made
use of Viewall® BigDoors, Vista™ System, and Accession
Series™ products. Pedestal cases and platforms were also part
of the project. The images above illustrate how well Helmut Guenschel
systems integrate architecturally to produce a perfectly unified
and engaging gallery space. Moldings were applied to both Viewall®
and Vista™ top and bottom glass holding rails, or were painted,
for design integration. Concealed hinges and locks provide security
benefits and enhance aesthetics.
Study Storage
Helmut Guenschel, Inc. recently completed a 64 case visible storage
project for a museum client in Washington, D.C. This work represents
one of several major study storage projects manufactured by Helmut
Guenschel. The cases were delivered and installed by Guenschel technicians.
Viewall® BigDOOR™ technology featuring fully concealed
dual action hinges and Soft-Slide™ drawers, available exclusively
through Helmut Guenschel, are just a few of the solutions incorporated
into the display cases.

New/Old Cases at Yale Center for British Art
More than 35 years after installation of the original project, Yale
Center for British Art recently took delivery of more Helmut Guenschel
table cases. The original cases were designed by the late Louis
Kahn and were made of hand-selected rift White Oak in a natural
finish. Each case included a mechanical system for lifting the glass
vitrine in order to provide display space access. The new cases
match the originals precisely but make use of our synchronized electric
lift motors and current glass technology.

Picture Glass
The delivery of our first Picture Glass™ panels to
Whittier, California took place recently. The glass was incorporated
into our Vista FRONT door system and delivered from our facility
pre-assembled and ready for installation.

Picture Glass™ allows for the application of artwork, photography,
graphics, patterns and colors to architectural glass panels. Images
are bonded between glass sheets forming a high quality laminated
safety glass panel that is sturdy, durable, and easy to maintain.
Varying degrees of opacity can be incorporated into Picture Glass™
to further enhance the visual presentation with backlighting or
surface illumination options. Picture Glass™ can be used in
combination with our fixed Glass Panel Product™ or with Viewall
FRONT™ and Vista FRONT™ glass door panel systems providing
trouble-free installation.
Picture Glass™ is perfect for a variety of applications:
Museum cases and museum exhibits
Signage and environmental graphics
Retail storefronts, walls and backlit displays
Commercial spaces
Interior wall partitions
Murals and fine art glass for public displays |

Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts
Helmut Guenschel recently manufactured, delivered, and installed
Viewall cases for the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia.
This project was the result of our collaboration with Dagit-Saylor
Architects of Philadelphia. The cases were designed to display sculpture
in a variety of media including bronze and other metals, stone,
and wood. Non-reflective glass was used to minimize natural and
artificial light sources outside of the display cases.
Complete display case installation with
